You'll need to have new hangers welded on, as well as get leaf springs and, of course, the axle itself. When it comes to trailer suspension you need to make sure everything is the same so the suspension all wears the same and operates with the best potential. If one axle has a camber (the arch you mentioned) and the other doesn't have a camber then it can cause things to not be as smooth.

It is really going to come down to the loads you are hauling but in most cases you would be better off using the front 2 axle positions. Do understand your hangers will still likely need adjusted since the distance between the center hangers is typically different than the front and rear hangers. This is caused by the leaf springs mounting to the front and rear hangers rather than to the equalizers like you have on the center hangers. We have a few brake mounting flanges that can be welded on by a professional, but none of them will fit a square axle tube so you'll either need to look for a different axle altogether or see if a welder is able to help you out with the correct part.

We do not have a way to identify the axle on your 2019 Salem FSX 179DBK. What you will need to do is climb under the trailer and look for the axle tag. If the axle tag is too worn or missing there may be a serial number stamped into it which could identify the axle. If you can't find either of those the only way to identify the axle would be to pull the VIN and call Salem to see what they put on the trailer.

Moving your fenders would be the first and easiest option but if that's not doable then, depending on what type of axle you have you can raise the height of your trailer to give you more clearance that way.

You could replace your torsion axle with the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR3500S06, but you'll first want to confirm your trailer's GVWR and remove the lift spacers. These are rated for 3,500lbs so you'll want to be careful not to overload them if your fully loaded trailer exceeds that rating. Do you know the axle capacity of the torsion axle? It looks like you're needing the Dexter Axle Model 60 ZX7000 Multi-Fit Actuator for Disc Brakes which comes with no lockout as part # T47457007K as well as with an electric lockout as part # T47457207K.

Torsion axles are not something that we carry. If you are unable to find a direct replacement we have the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR3500S05. We do have a variety of spring hangers you can use for a 7K triple axle system, and or that I recommend the Triple-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APTT5 which will space your axles 34" apart on center (see attached photo) and is compatible with 1-3/4" wide leaf springs like the 7K 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e64SR.
